After my morning devotions/meditation time I go for a 5 mile walk. I feel balanced after that And it doesn’t take that long to walk 5 miles if you just keep going, probably takes like an hour and a half and that’s it but I wake up at 5 AM so I can get it all in
Love this. My mornings used to be pure chaos too—email, social, rushing out the door. Establishing even a tiny ritual was life-changing. Thanks for sharing yours so openly.
Coffee for me + my husband, then 3 long-hand pages in my journal a la Julia Cameron. If I'm time pressed, I'll just write what I'm looking forward to accomplishing today. I close every day writing down 3 great things that happened today in as much detail as possible (learned this via Berkeley's Greater Good Science Center).
My non-negotiable? Hitting my knees the moment I get out of bed—and closing the day with gratitude.
That nighttime gratitude helps me drift off with a positive mindset, which makes it easier to wake up ready to give thanks again. It’s a loop I’m learning to love—one grounded in grace, not perfection.
Love this so much

Five miles is impressive every morning!
A girls gotta do what a girl gotta do
Love it!
I know my family thinks I’m weird but… Walking is a lifetime sport and I intend to live to be 100

Thanks for reading and commenting! What’s your favorite part of your morning routine?
It has to be my 10 minute meditation session. Either that or my slow ritual of making pour over coffee ☕️
👏🏼
Sweet, thank you :)
